PROTECTING THE ‘SHIP OF THE YEAR’
On November 6, Mediterranean Shipping Company’s
containership, MSC FEBE was awarded ‘Ship of the Year’ at the
Seatrade Maritime Awards International 2020, in Shanghai,
China. Built at the Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) Geoje shipyard
in South Korea, MSC FEBE was recognised for setting a new
standard in environmental performance and safety. As part of
MSC’s commitment to investing in innovative ship design to
maximise efficiency and minimise the impact on the environment,
the company selected Jotun’s Hull Performance Solutions (HPS).
HPS includes Jotun’s advanced antifouling products, specialised
technical service, and performance monitoring to measure the
impact of antifouling on vessel energy efficiency.
